The over 620 acres of Oxbow Park offer outdoor enthusiasts a chance to pursue activities such as: hiking, camping, fishing, and picnics. Park facilities include hiking trails, campground, four picnic areas, each with a covered shelter. One of the areas also has playground equipment, and a ball field is maintained during the summer for public use. Oxbow campground in a semi-primitive area has 30 campsites available. The campsite features running water, restrooms, and showers. Ten are electrical campsites and 3 of these are ADA accessible.

The Oxbow Nature Center offers environmental education programs during each season, covering not only animal life, but natural history, outdoor recreation skills, and ecology. There is an exhibit of some of the more common snakes of the region, and displays and artifacts associated with our natural world.

Oxbow’s Zollman Zoo draws nearly 50,000 annual visitors to observe over 30 species of wild animals that are native to Minnesota in a small, country zoo setting. Popular animals include otters, bears, bobcats, bison, mountain lions and eagles.
