The Dover-Eyota Elementary School houses students in kindergarten through fifth grade, due to the increase in class sizes, the sixth grade students are housed at the high school. In addition to housing the sixth graders, the high school is home to seventh through twelfth graders. In all, the district educates approximately 1,120 students.

The Dover-Eyota School District aims to encourage and produce high student achievement, provide a safe and welcoming environment for students, parents and community members. Finally, the district aims to run an efficient and effective operation. The overall mission reads: "The Dover-Eyota School system, in partnership with it's community, will foster a safe, caring and respectful environment to develop well-rounded, high-achieving citizens who demonstrate character and integrity in an ever-changing world."
