The Choral Arts Ensemble strives to "promote the highest standard of excellence in the performance of choral music for the education and enjoyment of the participants and the community at large."

Since its conception in 1985, the Choral Arts Ensemble has been dedicated to the creation and performance of new music, as well as honoring the masterworks from Renaissance to 20th Century artists.

This semi-professional, auditioned choir is recognized for its commitment to choral excellence, commissioned works, and collaborations with regional organizations such as the Dale Warland Singers and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. The ensemble consists of 40 signers under the artist director and conductor, Michael Culloton. Culloton was recently named MN-ACDA Young Conductor of the Year (2006) and was also honored with the 2006 ACDA/Vocal Essence Creative Programming Award.

The 2007-08 season will include four diverse, exceptional a-cappella and choral/orchestral repertoire performances, featuring Parts II & III of Handel's Messiah, along with the premier of three newly commissioned works.
