BACKROOM DELI
1001 Sixth St. NW
(507) 289-9061
Located in the back of the Good Food Store Co-op, the Backroom Deli is one of the few all-vegan restaurants (they serve no animal products or byproducts) in the state. Popular menu items include cajun tofu wraps, the spicy spelt burger, and hummus and pita. "Only about 50 percent of our customer base is vegan. We get people who come in, order a meal, eat and only later realize it was vegan. It's very rare that anyone is disappointed," says chef Devin Stephens.
